The 10 Days Grand Tour is a journey to explore the country in different aspects, both in its cultural and historical side and in its Natural side. You will visit multiple cities, experience different kinds of food, and see the diversity that lives within one country. from the green and lively mountains in the north of Morocco to the magical sandy dunes in the south.
On the first day, arrive in Casablanca, meet your guide and driver and transfer to the hotel for rest. In the afternoon, after you have rested, you will be picked up from the hotel by your guide and driver and you will be taken to see some of the best places in Casablanca. You will visit the Hobus neighbourhood, a beautiful place with its unique Moorish-Andalusian architecture. You can wander and see lots of handicraft products, especially the Moroccan traditional men's and women's dresses. Then you will be picked up again and pass by the Mohamed 5 square, or as it is known among locals as pigeon square. You will take some photos, maybe with the pigeons and see the key buildings around this square (outside only). Later on, you shall be transferred to the Cornish of Ain Diab to walk by the Atlantic Ocean and feel the fresh wind and have some free time over there. That concludes the days you will be transported back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
The next morning, after breakfast. Meet your guide and driver at the hotel, and you will check out to travel to the capital of Morocco. On this journey, you will first visit the most famous mosque in Morocco and the biggest, the Mosque Hassan II, which is considered a masterpiece of modern Moroccan architecture (the visit is inside the mosque). The visit inside will be guided by your guide. After that, you will go to have a photo stop next to Rick's Café. A copy of the iconic movie Casablanca. We shall pass by the residential area Anfa then we shall drive directly to the next city Rabat.
The drive should take approximately 1h 40min. Once we arrive in Rabat we will stop by the royal palace for a visit (exterior only) to take pictures to the gate of the royal palace. Then we shall go after that (by car) to the mausoleum of King Mohamed 5 the father of the Moroccan resistance. And in the same spot we shall also enjoy the Tower of Hassan which is part of a very old mosque that dates back to the 12th century. Later on we shall go to have lunch and after lunch we will visit a kasbah (a fortress) called kasbah of Oudaya which is located between the river of Bouregrag and the Atlantic ocean and visit the Andalusian garden within this kasbah. We shall have a little walk inside the old medina nearby (optional) then we take the car and drive to the hotel in Rabat for dinner and overnight.
Next morning after you have breakfast in the hotel. You check out from the hotel and you will have a long drive through the Rif mountains described by its green landscapes and olive trees. The first destination in this long trip is going to be the blue city Chefchaouen we will go have a little walk inside the old medina with the blue walls we will arrive to the heart of the old medina which is called Outa Lehman square the center of the city and beautiful location surrounded by coffee shops and restaurants and most importantly the kasbah, the oldest building in the city. And the great mosque with its unique minarets shape. We will have lunch in Chefchaouen and after lunch we shall continue our walk to the Ras El Maà location which is a river that flows within the city and its water reservoir in the past. You can have a session of fresh fruit juice in that area or take a photo with the traditional clothes the locals offer to you. Then you go meet with your driver who will pick you up and take you to Fes. Once you arrive at Fes you go check in and have dinner and overnight.
Next Morning you will have a full day dedicated to Fes the spiritual Capital of Morocco and the first Capital in Morocco. After breakfast you will meet your guide and driver and you will go visit some key monuments in Fes. Starting from the gates of the Royal palace a famous 7 gates built by king Hassan 2 in the 20 century. After taking some photos next to this place you shall have a little walk in the Mellah (Jewish quarter). After that you will go by car to the southern tower to see the panoramic view of the huge old medina of Fes that dates back to the 9th century, and is also the place that you will visit later. Later on you shall enter from the blue Gate, one of the main gates of the old medina of Fes described to have some beautiful tiles. Go visit the Bounania Medrasa, a quarantine school, still used till today as dormant for the students.
You will go then have lunch after that we continue our little walk in the medina we will go see the Nejarin square (the place of carpenters in the past) , we shall pass by the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II (outside only) the founder of Fes. And we shall also pass by the Oldest University in the world, The university of the Karawiyin (Exterior visit only). We shall pass by the seafaring square, one of the loudest places in The medina of Fez where the hammers of workers who make different utensils from copper. And then we shall take a walk toward the tannery of Fes, the oldest in the world, and they still make Lethe products the same traditional way till today. That concludes your visit to Fez and you transport to the hotel for overnight And dinner.
Next morning after breakfast you will have a long drive to the desert. You will check out from the hotel and start your trip to Merzouga. You will pass by Ifran which is called the Switzerland of Morocco. You stop to take pictures and to rest a little bit and enjoy the clean fresh air of this city. After some rest we shall drive by the forest of cider trees, house of the Berber macaque monkeys. We shall stop for a moment to say hi to these little guys and then we continue our drive directly toward Midelt where you shall have lunch. After the lunch stop we take the ride and drive through the high atlas mountains we start to notice the landscape start to change to a more dry area and more rocky the palms start to appear on our way dating that we are getting closer and closer to our destination. We will have a little stop for rest also for a photo in the canyon of ziz. After that we drive directly to Erfoud where we meet the 4*4 jeep cars that will take us to Merzouga. We arrive at the camps in the dunes. Once arrived and rested in your tent a little bit. You will have a different kind of ride other than the camel ride that will take you to see the charming sunset of the desert. Once the sun went to sleep. You also pick your new friends (the camels) and they will take you back to the camp for dinner and after dinner you will listen to some music of drums the locals will perform under a sky full of stars.
Next morning and after the sun has risen and after breakfast of course. You shall checkout from the tents and drive back to Erfoud. Change from the jeep 4*4 to drive the normal car again and drive toward the canyon of Toudgha, one of the famous and favorite spots for rock climbers in Morocco. Have a little walk in the canyon, enjoy the weather and the sound of water flowing, then go to have lunch after lunch we pass by Tinghir by car and we drive all the way to the town Boumalne Dades where we stop for a photo and exchange currency if needed. Then passing by the road of the thousands of kasbahs we cut our ways towards the city of roses Kelaat M'gouna where we will stop for rest and also to purchase some of the rose products made there such as rose water. After this rest we will go directly to Ouarzazate which is also called the Hollywood of Morocco.
Once arrived in Ouarzazate, check in for dinner and overnight in the hotel.
In the morning and after breakfast we checked out from the hotel in Ouarzazate. And we will go to visit the kasbah of Taourirt, a place used to be the house of the governor of this entire region of Ouarzazate. After the visit, continue to Atlas Studios. The most famous Filming location in Morocco, the studio that Filmed a lot of international films like kingdom of heaven and Cleopatra the mummy and others. You will have a local guide inside to have a tour and explore the various sections within this Studio.
Once you are done visiting the studio you will go back to the car and drive to a L'UNESCO site called Ait ben-Hedou a village hidden and camouflaged in the red mountains and hills of the area you will go with your guide to explore it from I side and hike to the top by stairs of course. Finishing the visit of ait ben Hadou go to the restaurant to have lunch and départ directly after that to Marrakech through the highest road in Morocco Tizin ‘Tichka. The tip might take approximately 3 hours. Once you arrive in Marrakech you shall go straight to your hotel for rest and overnight and dinner in the hotel.
Today you will explore the pearl of the south, the red City, Marrakech ! In the morning after breakfast you will meet your guide and driver who will pick you up and take you to visit some key monuments in this city. First you shall visit the Koutoubia mosque, (outside visit only) then you will be picked again and taken by care to one of Marrakech main Gates Called Bab Agnaou. There once you cross that Gate you go to visit a monument called the Saidin Tombes. The resting place of a dynasty that ruled over Morocco for over 100 years. The place is well decorated with Moroccan mosaic and arabesque and stucco, one of the main materials used in Moroccan architecture and decoration. After that we walk through the Jewish quarter of Marrakech in the old medina and we arrive at the next monument called Bahia palace, a masterpiece, a vast building with an interesting story. Later we go to have lunch and after lunch we continue our walk inside the old medina to find a hidden gem inside a quoranique school with a beautiful décoration and détails all over the place. The medrasa of ben Youssef. After that we go to the beating heart of Marrakech and the crowdest place in Africa Jemaa El fna where you shall have some free time there and enjoy the various activities around snake charmers and monkeys and musicians and juice sellers. After free time meet again with your guide and go to the care and ride back to the hotel for evening overnight and dinner.
In the morning check out from the hotel and start your half day in Marrakech. You will visit majorelle garden. Which is a botanical garden with multiple exotic plants owned by the famous designer Yves Saint Laurent. Then you will go visit the Menara garden, a huge garden with olive trees and a water reservoir. After that you will have lunch in Marrakech and after lunch you will depart to Casablanca to check in your hotel, overnight and dinner.
Today you will check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport in Casablanca and go back home.
